Freeze-Dried Food?
The short answer is that I was tired of eating boring backpacking meals that upset my stomach.
But for you curious customers here's the long winded history.
It all started back 2011 when I ate my first "MRE" or Meal Ready To Eat on a sunny Southern California day in Marine Corps Boot Camp. Let me tell you, besides the candy that thing made you shit bricks literally. Luckily, I ate plenty more MRE's over the course of my time in the Marine Corps.
While being stationed in San Diego, I grew to love backpacking which inturn lead to a passion for backpack hunting after I returned home to Arizona. During my life as an outdoorsman, I've found that nothing on the market is much more appealing than a package of tuna.
So upon graduation from Arizona State University, I took my new found business knowledge and set out to liberate all nature-lovers from the dismal choices on the market today.
Every Nomadic Meal is made from scratch in the United States with U.S. sourced ingredients. The meals are made hearty with tons of meat and veggies, just like momma used to. Every bag will leave you feeling satisfied with plenty of fuel to finish your hike and keep your stomach stable. Crafted in Mesa, Arizona.
